A chat with Garrett
Why did you get involved in the financial planning industry?
Simply put – because people need advice. The financial planning industry is both complex and confusing. Early on in my career, I realized that there is so much more to wealth management than building an investment portfolio. The value of a well-executed financial plan that takes all the various aspects of financial planning into consideration is paramount for financial success.
My favorite part about the industry is that there is no “click a button” solution; each plan needs to be customized to the individual based on their goals and objectives. Clients need a financial advisor that understands them and can provide a unique solution to their unique situation. I enjoy creating those customized financial plans that help individuals and families achieve their financial goals.
What would you tell a potential client about the benefits of working with you directly?
The greatest benefit of working with me directly is that I embrace new challenges. If I do not know the answer, I won’t stop until I find it. I will NEVER sit in front of a client and pretend to know the answer to a question or a problem. People deserve to have an advisor willing to set their ego aside to find the right solution versus an advisor who is afraid to admit they do not know the answer and lose their credibility as the “expert,” which ultimately erodes trust.
What would you say is your greatest accomplishment?
The thing I am most proud of is being captain of the Princeton Wrestling team along with my athletic accomplishments in the sport of wrestling.
