Jackie attended Seton Hill University and achieved two bachelor’s degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. A big believer in education for the sake of education, she cherishes the time she spent at Seton Hill, continuing to try to live out the motto: “Hazard Yet Forward”.

She was also an active member of the choral music community here in Pittsburgh prior to Covid. In these current times, she finds joy in bike riding, baking, and reading.
Jackie hails from a small town in Mercer County, PA, and now lives in Millvale on the North side of Pittsburgh.

A chat with Jackie

Why did you get involved in the financial planning industry?

I am the “good with money friend”! Over the past few years I’ve found myself sitting down with friends and family to discuss everything from budgeting to credit cards to homeownership, and I’ve found helping people take control of their financial lives to be a very rewarding experience so I thought – why not make a career out of it?.

What do you like best about being a part of the Signature Financial Family?

My favorite part of the job so far has been the little touches that let me know I am welcome and wanted here. They say “as personal as your signature” and they really live out that value even to the staff. For example, I mentioned in my interview that I used to sing with a choir, and when I came into my new office for the first time my desktop and mouse pad had been personalized to be music-themed. I hope I can bring just as much attention and care to our clients.

What do you hope to do for your clients?

I hope to help clients see money as a tool for pursuing their goals. I think a benefit of working with me is that I strive to create a safe space for everyone I encounter, regardless of their background or where they are at in their journey.

On a professional level, what are your biggest accomplishments?

My greatest professional accomplishment to date would be taking and passing the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams within 9 months. I hope to spend my time at Signature growing so that in the next 5 years I am a Certified Financial Planner™.

What are you passionate about in your personal life?

I am passionate about social justice and believe that persistent advances toward equity, diversity, and inclusion are needed in all aspects of American life – especially in the workplace.
